Civilized Galactic Gear: Mercantile and Trading Company: These are not plastic or resin castings painted to 'look like leather props'; these are fully functional, actual leather pouches and products, made to hold real world items and having survived other worldly situations. Each item is hand crafted, antiqued, aged and pre-weathered with a battle worn look. And because of this artfully executed and desired 'Old World' and 'Old Republic' technique, though the items may be similar in appearance, no two will be exactly alike.

CGG has endeavored long, and worked ardently to make these accessories usable. A philosophy of dedication to detail and authenticity combined with functionality, a high level of quality, and pride in craftsmanship, are the driving factors behind our arts and wares.

CGG’s crafts are built for the “Real World Jedi” of ardent Fandom. The Jedi who adventure from convention to convention, continent to continent, and who have dedicated their love of 'the Mythology' in service to those who may be less fortunate.

CGG is not just here for the Jedi who wishes to look good, but for the Jedi who wishes ... to look really good.

We are a club teaching & learning how to perform choreographed lightsaber battles. The general goal is to create your own unique costumed character that would fit into the "Star Wars Universe," and perform intense, elaborate lightsaber duels to entertain audiences at conventions, community, and charity events.

We're a non-profit organization, which means we don't charge for classes, and we don't charge for performances. We do it purely to help raise awareness for charitable organizations, community support, fun & exercise, and to honor the greatest sci-fi film series of all time. It's completely safe. There is not free form fighting. It's scripted, rehearsed choreography, made to look like skilled and sometimes chaotic battle between good and evil.

Though some members of the club play characters who can range from questionably moral to downright evil, the club itself is all about teaching the Jedi way of peace, love, empathy, equality, and gaining wisdom & knowledge. This is why we call ourselves the Capital City Jedi Knights. We want to be the guardians of all that is good in central Pennsylvania, and inspire others across the world to do the same.

The darkside may have cookies, but we have love and family.

As a group we share a love of life, creativity, fitness, martial arts, performing arts, fight choreography, escapism, and FUN.

The difference is... Sometimes we choose to experience all of the above with a Glowing Saber in hand!

The New York Jedi are a community of people and teachers who share practical Martial Arts-based and Stage Combat oriented Light Saber techniques in order to create illuminated stage combat! But we are not character or cannon specific to any story franchise. We give you the exciting option of creating your own hero, from whatever source inspires you! We just focus on the whole light saber thing!
